    Jaren Kerr is a breaking news reporter at the Financial Times. He writes on economics and corporate matters from Toronto, and assists with editing posts on the FT's live blog. He joined the FT in 2022 from the Globe and Mail, where he covered mergers and acquisitions and in 2020 won a National Newspaper Award in the politics category. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a focus in bioethics.
