Olivier Cateura is assistant professor of strategic management at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. He is the programme head for the specialised master in energy marketing and management and is also head of the technology and strategic management department.

He is a graduate of EM Lyon Business School and of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) of Aix-en-Provence. Prof Cateura has a PhD in strategic management from the University of Montpellier and has completed the international teacher’s programme at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Prof Cateura is passionate about energy issues and his main research interests are in strategic management, competitive dynamics, competitive intelligence and energy economics. After eight years of professional experience, including a period at Electrabel-Suez (now GDF Suez), Prof Cateura joined Grenoble in 2007. He remains a consultant in strategic marketing and strategic management for the energy industry. He is also member of the Knowledge and Innovation Community InnoEnergy.
