Hand-in Day at The Royal Academy of Art

Artists queue to submit their completed artworks for the 245th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts on April 8, 2013 in London, England. Last year 11,000 works of art were submitted with just 1,100 selected to hang in the Main Galleries. The RA’s Summer Exhibition is the world’s largest open submission contemporary art exhibition, with all profits raised used to help fund the Royal Academy Schools. The Summer Exhibition runs at the Royal Academy of Arts from June 10, 2013 until August 18, 2013
