Russia has denied intelligence officers indicted in the US for the 2014 hack of Yahoo were involved in the crime.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday that “there can be no talk of any official involvement of any Russian agency, including the FSB, in any illegal activity in cyberspace.”

Yesterday, it emerged that a US grand jury has charged four people, including two Russian intelligence officers, with stealing personal data from hundreds of millions of Yahoo email accounts, the first time American authorities have ever legally pursued computer hacking allegations against the Kremlin.
