Previously she was a reporter at the Bureau of Investigative Journalism where she won the 2020 Private Eye Paul Foot Award for Investigative Journalism for her series on domestic abuse by police officers and was part of a team investigating soya- and beef-driven Brazilian deforestation. She spent three months reporting from around the US as the Washington Post's 2023 Stern-Bryan Fellow.
The visual storytelling team is an interdisciplinary group of journalists using computational tools and traditional reporting to produce explainers and investigations in visual formats. The team won a Press Gazette Future of Media award in 2022 for their coverage of the Ukraine war and multiple awards for the Climate Game.
