Jim Pickard is the deputy political editor at the Financial Times and works in the FT's Parliamentary office in Westminster, London. Before that he has worked in various FT roles including political correspondent, property correspondent, assistant UK news editor and Wales & Westcountry correspondent.
He has appeared on various broadcast including the BBC Radio 4's Today programme and PM show, Radio 2, Radio 5, Newsnight, CNBC, Sky News, Channel 4, GB News, LBC and Times Radio.
In 2019 Jim played a leading role in the FT team which won the Political Journalism prize at the British Journalism Awards for a series called "The Corbyn Revolution".
In 2021 he was part of an FT team which won the Political Journalism prize and Investigation of the Year award at the British Journalism Awards for a series of articles about Greensill Capital. The team also won the Private Eye Paul Foot Award for Investigative and Campaigning Journalism in the same year.
